Ladybug is an 19 year old Quarter Horse and pony cross mare owned by the Conner family. She is usually the first horse new riders learn on, though she doesn't always like the work! Ladybug hates being in the diet pen and will snort like a pig when the other horses get too close to her food! Although she can be a little stubborn, Ladybug earns her stripes with small children who require a solid and dependable mount!

Rocky is a 33 year old pony gelding donated by Deb Lemmon. This little guy makes up in personality what he lacks in size! Although he is quite old, Rocky loves to be out in the pasture and will run and jump with the younger horses! Rocky is a great STARS horse and often the first mount for children. His size is rather unintimidating and volunteers can walk beside him with ease. Make no mistake however, Rocky is just as bouncy as the big guys and can often walk faster than the full-sized horses!

Rusty is a 16 year old Quarter Horse gelding donated by Donna D'Ottavio. This little horse had a rough start in life as he was rescued by Animal Control after being starved by his first owner. Although he was not expected to live, Rusty persevered and is now a great addition to the STARS program. His legs are a little deformed from the malnutrition, but Rusty is no worse for wear and now enjoys a life of quiet rides, attention and lots of treats.
